I look back to the beginning of this ministry and I am in awe at the sustaining grace given us here at the station. When my father, Darrel Martin, unleashed our first test broadcast from the BARN (where the original studio resided) it was neither topical nor expository teaching being broadcasted but instead he played the only thing he had on hand at that moment which was the "Music of the Andes." Panpipes, flutes and guitars were blared over the airwaves by our very, very old CCA transmitter. The music was interrupted only long enough to announce our legal ID at the top of the hour (KWXC, 88.9 FM, Grove, Oklahoma) for the very first time.![]()

Rejoicing the transmitter was working and laughing at the eclectic music choice of my father, we were enamored with the whole event. What an exciting time it was for our family to begin the work of broadcasting the gospel over the air. It was a work sewn in my father's heart by his Heavenly Father almost three decades prior and it came to fruition in his leaky barn with a 285 ft. tower perched over it. ![]()

We are still excited to share the Gospel here at KWXC today just as we were in those first few months and we continue to joyfully do so.![]()

To our wonderful engineer Roger King, the roughly 25 donors who give to this ministry regularly and those handful of people who give as they're able, we are so very grateful for your being part of our history, however unconventional, and our future in sharing our love for the Lord. ![]()

May God give us another 16 or even 60 years on the FM dial so that more might hear of the Father and His son Jesus Christ. God bless every single listener, both near and far, who has weathered every storm and every outage and who have celebrated with us when the signal and the gospel once more returned to fill our homes and our cars with the Word of Life. ![]()

It was a bit touch and go last night during the storm. The internet feed for our audio became intermittent for a while and the strobe light that was the sky threatened the tower and equipment. However, when morning came, other than some leaks in the studio ceiling, all was well. Praise God for another storm weathered. We're grateful to still be here and we ask that you all join us in praying for all of those who weren't as fortunate during last night's event.
The National Day of Prayer has great significance for us as a nation as it enables us to recall and to teach the way in which our founding fathers sought the wisdom of God when faced with critical decisions. It stands as a call for us to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people. The unanimous passage of the bill establishing the National Day of Prayer as an annual event, signifies that prayer is as important to our nation today as it was in the beginning.![]()
