Ebel Certified Watch Repair | Manhattan Time Service® Watchmakers
Service Recommendations for EBEL Watches – It is recommended having your Ebel timepiece examined and serviced by a professional every 4-5 years. Your EBEL watch is a finely-constructed mechanism, complete with small synthetic “jewels” on which the timepiece’s wheels turn. Without proper lubrication, these parts can wear early and possibly cause your EBEL watch to stop working properly. Don’t let your fine EBEL watch “dry out.” Have it cared for by a professional watchmaker who has the proper tools to maintain your timepiece.
Our Expertise at Fixing EBEL Watches
At Manhattan Time Service Inc. we strictly adhere to the procedures and methods EBEL uses in the construction of their timepieces, so you will know assuredly that your watch is set to factory standards. Every watch sent to us is meticulously examined by a qualified watchmaker and a series of tests are performed so we can prepare a cost-free and accurate estimate before any work is done.

Historical Info
Commonly called “The Architects of Time,” EBEL was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1911 by husband-and-wife team, Eugène Blum and Alice Lévy, from whose initials the name EBEL was constructed (Eugène Blum et Lévy). Both Blum and Lévy had already built up reputations in the industry before founding the company together, so branding EBEL seemed to be a natural step for the couple. Relying heavily on Alice’s eye for detail and impeccable trend-spotting acumen, EBEL experienced substantial notability throughout the 20th century. In the 1914 Swiss National Exhibition in Bern, one of the first EBEL watches, the EBEL Ring watch, earned a gold medal for its hidden time setting and pallet escapement.
Technological Advancements
EBEL watches are works of art built with creativity, distinction and innovation. Each EBEL watch experiences strict quality control and is designed with the latest technology, producing a watch with the highest standards of performance. The EBEL brand constantly strives to faithfully preserve its past and yet always reinterpret it.
In 1995, EBEL created the self-winding chronograph Calibre 137, which was certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute).
What Makes EBEL Unique
Still modeled by superstars like Claudia Schiffer, EBEL watches feature close ties to architecture by stating the subtle symbiosis present between creativity and precision. They highlight function, emotion and give a voice to an era of proud watchmaking heritage.
