Out exploring and found this gem.
      Unbelievable decor
      Unbelievably delicious food
I had the Turkey fig panini. You had me at honey mayo. A taste explosion between sweet breakfast food and brunch. Absolutely worth the trip.
Don't even get me started on how good the crackers you are served as an appetizer are. Something special going on with the spread for them as well.
If I could give more than 5 I would.
      Winner winner small town charmer.

The food and tea were great, the service was a hot mess! I don't know if our waiter was new or maybe he was just filling in over winter break but he was unfortunately pretty terrible. It took about 25 minutes from when we ordered our appetizer and tea to when we ordered our food. When our appetizer came out we asked for small plates, by the time he checked in again to tell us he would bring the plates over we had already finished eating the appetizer. My father in law ordered the pulled pork dinner and our waiter wrote it down no problem. The pulled pork sandwich came out and when my father in law questioned it a waitress told us they don't serve the dinner until later in the day, which is fine but the waiter should have told us that. My mother in law wanted grilled onions added to her veggie burger and they never showed either.

On to the good stuff! The appetizer we ordered was their baked brie dish. It was one of the best baked brie dishes I have ever had. It had apples baked into it and you topped it all off with some honey. I got the fish and cheese sandwich which was really tasty. The fiance got the rib eye steak sandwich and that was delicious as well. The tea was AWESOME! I got the Bombay Breakfast, they suggested adding a little sugar and cream, the tea was perfect. I also enjoyed the iced lemon and hibiscus tea. They did ask if I wanted the cream cold or steamed and I said steamed, I had to ask twice for it and it ended up coming to the table cold.

They have a ton of dessert options to pick from as well but we were all pretty full. The fiance did get their coffee ice cream sundae/shake thing for his main drink and ate that right up.

Would definitely suggest going to this place, just hope they make some adjustments to their staff. I will be back!

I'm so surprised this cute little coffee shop hasn't been reviewed yet! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are friendly. I ordered a small tea (I think honey lavender) and the lovely lady behind the counter offered to add either steamed or cold milk. I don't think I've ever been offered those options before!

I opted for steamed. It was delicious. Very nice of her to offer that since it took extra time for her to prepare.

This place is full of local charm, has plenty of seating, and serves food as well as beverages. Not too far outside of Albemarle either. Give it a try!

We found this quaint little restaurant nestled in the heart of Badin, NC. It's an eclectic blend of old-world style and country café.

We began with a basket of fries and the spring rolls. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the spring rolls were succulent! The chile sauce was a perfect taste addition to the flavor of the spring rolls!

I got the chicken breast sandwich and added sautéed onions. Wow. It was cooked with excellent accuracy. Not dry or hard. Everyone's food looked delicious.

I finished with a caramel latte that was the perfect ending to a great lunch. You've got to stop by!

This place has amazing food and it's really cute inside. The full coffee bar is great- I highly recommend the Cuban coffee- great for two people to share! They give you free homemade cheese crackers with pimento spread that is delicious. I have gotten the nest eggs at Saturday brunch, which I loved. Their omelettes are also good. Today I got the shrimp and grits and it is a generous serving. I chose broccoli for my side and was not disappointed by anything! I love coming here every time I'm in town.

Shrimp and grits with a croissant and broccoli. Lots of shrimp hiding in there!

This place is a must visit if you are driving to Morrow mountain state park, ok even otherwise you one should visit this place. I moved from Los Angeles and I was driving through the country side and I stumbled upon this place because it had internet. Yes, I am tech junkie! But once I went to the park, I turned off my phone.

      About the place: INCREDIBLE
Had the best iced tea ever, they brew it differently and I got a nice explanation on the special brewing process ( I am nerd)
Chocolate cookie bar and the cake: Out of the world. I do not know what they put it in. Home made and I had to take few to go because it was that good
Salad, dinner, flame grilled vegetables: The best I have ever had. I am picky salad eater.
I also think the food was made to taste better by the kindness of people working there. It was great. I wish there was one in Los Angeles

I am going back there again. Its very close to the lake.

Badin, NC has a little gem called the Badin Treehouse Co. It is a must stop if you're nearby or go out of your way a little bit to get there, it's worth it.
The place is simply whimsical; tables, chairs, and table-settings are different shapes, sizes and styles. We sat at the Bookcase table, and when you're ready to pay you let them know at the check out counter where you sat. Lovely idea.
      The waitstaff are nicely attentive.
The Boars Head crackers and cheese spread brought to each table, oh SO good!
The Chicken Salad came on a homemade croissant w/ a side of slaw served in a teacup - BEST I ever had!
Turkey Fig Panini also w/ a side of the slaw served in a teacup was scrumptious !
The Cheeseburger on Ciabatta bread w/ a side of seasoned fries was done to perfection!
They also carry many many teas and coffees - we will have to return to try other items on the menu- I am looking forward to the Meatloaf Sandwich next time !

Almond Joy - Latte (just let them make it, no additions or substitutions) It's mighty tasty!

This a must try! It's worth a 15-20 mile detour. (just for fun)

Doesn't matter if you're not into coffee, it's just a cool place to hang out and talk. If you need to get a little work done - try this place.

Some guys gave me hell for saying I wanted to try a Latte at this place but one of the locals just raved about it. So of course, I was hooked. I took three other co-workers here and they were all impressed as was I. I think the only thing that wasn't that great was a piece of chocolate and strawberry cake... I did not order this.

We were seated and served by one of the owners. You can tell they really care about their business and they were serious about whatever you ordered.

Wait till you see the interior! Different - yet AWESOME!
