Really good spot. Salad was super fresh. Sushi rolls were tasty and they can make them with black rice. Love having that option. Highly recommend!

Excellent service waiter was constantly checking up on me making sure I had enough wasabi / napkins.
The fish was fresh and rice was the correct temperature. Lots of flavorful rolls

What a fantastic sushi restaurant! My sister and I wanted some last minute sushi for dinner so we opted in for Nami Sushi.
It's a relatively small restaurant with parking right in front which is super convenient. There was no one there when we came around 5ish on a Thursday, but there was a ton of consistent online orders plus more people dined in later. Our server was very polite and attentive, as well.
The sushi is absolutely amazing. We were blown away by the freshness and noticeable good quality of the sushi rolls. I got the fire dragon roll and a classic avocado & salmon roll. The fire dragon roll was a straight 10/10. Sooo big, fresh, and just delicious (around 12 pieces). The salmon & avocado roll was super fresh and tasty, too. My sister got Chicago crazy roll and the crunchy spicy tuna roll. I had some as well and they were seriously all a 10/10! We got crab Rangoons for an app, too, and also enjoyed them a lot. Everything was reasonably priced especially for a sushi restaurant.
Already looking forward on coming back here!Helpful 8Thanks 2Love this 8Oh no 0 - May 12, 2023
Came at lunch and got some rolls and appetizers. It may be about as good as you expect from a sushi place in a strip mall. Nami Sushi is one of the better places to eat in Harwood Heights. Good prices in fast some of the cheapest. This is about as cheap as it gets for sushi outside of a gas station.
After looking up places in this suburb to eat, we chose here. It sure doesn't look like much. This is in a crummy looking strip mall with a lot of empty storefronts. Coming at lunch was a good idea. There's lunch specials. It was $3 for some salads and appetizers. We got the Seaweed Salad. It was simple but good. Lightly seasoned with soy sauce and sesame seeds. It had specials at lunch. We got the modest yet impressive Sweet Potato Tempera Roll Lunch Special. It's about $4.75, which is a good price for a roll around here. There was a nice crunchiness and it was filling for a light lunch.
Best to come at lunch to get things cheaper. It has a few specials to choose from. The restaurant is pretty small but there's no need for reservations because it's not busy most times.Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Oct 18, 2023Updated review
First time here. Based off the reviews I rolled the dice. My wife is a picky sushi eater. She only eats California rolls so I shouldn't listen to her but.......... Glad we stopped here. Really tasty miso soup. Steamed dumplings were delish. I opted for the Las Vegas Roll dragon roll and Hamachi. All were winners in my book. The Vegas roll was a new combo that I hadn't seen before and it hit the spot. We wil return

Solid spot! Liked the sushi, creativity and presentation a lot. The flavor combinations were delicious. One of my favorite things about eating sushi is looking forward to the various combinations of ingredients that can be put in rolls. The extreme and unexpected pairings that the chefs come up with becomes more and more exciting!
I only went once, so it is not my favorite "Chicago" sushi spot - otherwise I'd be more of a frequent guest - but I don't have any major complaints. And it IS WORTH TRYING!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 31, 2023
Ordered dinner for pickup yesterday. The order was ready when I walked in and it was still warm (ordered a few fried rolls). The restaurant also offers a few free items if you spend a designated amount of money before tax, so we got a free spicy tuna roll! All rolls were tasty, looked presentable, were packed neatly, and were filling. We were able to feed 3 people easily with the rolls we got. Would definitely order again or dine in!

Excellent! Too bad they no longer offer AYCE (all you can eat option). I had 3 rolls and all were great. Even vegetable tempura was amazing. Maybe the highlight was that Jalapeno tempura
Even with one server and pretty busy when I arrived he managed to bring everything promptly.
Good location in plaza and easy parking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiffany F.Chicago, IL011Mar 9, 2024
The food was fine. Nothing special, but passable. The service was terrible. We waited a very long time for one roll and two orders of sushi. The waitress never came to the table to refill waters or check on us until the food was ready. In fact, it took so long to get the food that it felt like everyone who worked there was avoiding making eye contact with our table. There were only two other patrons at the restaurant, although they did seem to be busy with take our orders. The ambience also was underwhelming, and the restaurant did not look like a Japanese restaurant, but more like a brunch spot. Lastly, they did not serve any alcohol so be aware of that before deciding if you want to dine in.

We have been ordering Nami Sushi for a couple years now and it has become our go to sushi restaurant in the area. Large variety of sushi rolls and items. Sometimes online orders take a little longer to be ready and some rolls can get pricey.
Nonetheless, their food has yet to disappoint and you get what you paid for.
A few of our favorites: towers roll, fried Philly roll, Las Vegas roll, and dragon roll.
Thanks for always being consistent!
